Muertos Fest Featured on The Cooking Channel’s Carnival Eats

July 3, 2024 – We are excited to announce that the Cooking Channel network’s national broadcast of Carnival Eats will include coverage of their visit to San Antonio’s beloved cultural event, Día de los Muertos at Hemisfair, also known as Muertos Fest.

Día de los Muertos at Hemisfair will take center stage in the season premiere episode, titled “Parmageddon” on July 7 at 9 p.m. CT, Carnival Eats is the No. 1 rated original series on the Cooking Channel. More details and additional airdates can be viewed here.

National viewers can expect to see San Antonio’s vibrant culture and culinary delights, hosted by Noah Cappe, as he explores traditional fair foods that blend flavors and ingredients creatively, celebrating the spirit of Día de los Muertos. The episode is expected to showcase four different dishes from Muertos Fest favorites.

The broadcast brings national visibility to the richness of San Antonio’s culinary offerings and highlights the dynamic celebration of the Day of the Dead during Muertos Fest at Hemisfair. This year, the festival returns for its 12th edition on October 26 and 27, 2024, bringing colorful processions, music, dance, and community-built altars to downtown San Antonio.
